Majlis in memory of Khatib-e-Akbar Maulana Mirza Athar held in Imambara Asafuddaulla

 

Lucknow : A majlis in memory of Khatib-e-Akbar Maulana Mirza Athar and Khatibul Irfan Maulana Mirza Muhammad Ashfaque was held at Bara Imambara of Nawab Asafuddualla today. The majlis began by a Tilawat- e-Quran-e-Pak conducted by Nadeem Kaari . After that Shore Ikram presented Nazrane Akidat in honour of Maula Ali. The eminent and famous Maulana from Iran Maulana Ayatullah Sayyid Muntazir Mehdi Sahab addressed the majlis.

The eminent Maulana from Iran started the Majlis by discussing the subject of Wiladat of Hazrat Ali. He narrated incidents from the life of Hazrat Ali and illustrated and described how Hazrat Ali gave a new spiritual direction and perspective to society. He also discussed the incident in which Muhammad Sahab declared the Khilafat of Hazrat Ali by raising him in his arms before all when Hazrat Ali was only an infant.

On this occasion Honourable Mayor of Lucknow Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia was present along with other eminent personalities of the city. All present offered their heartfelt condolences to Maulana Mirza Athar’s elder son Fakhr-i-Millat Dr. Yasoob Abbas. 

At the end of the Majlis Dr. Yasoob Abbas, Aijaaz Athar, Firoz Abbas and Dr. Mirza Muhammad Abu Tayyab thanked all who attended the Majlis.
